The representative of the Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals Nebojša Arsenijević, Head of the Metrological Inspection Department, Belgrade, attended the meeting of administrative cooperation in the field of standards (ADCO MI) and the WELMEC WG5 working group, which was held from March 24 to 25, 2026 in Rome, Italy.

The organizer of the meeting was the European Commission - IBF connect. The meeting was attended by 35 participants and 4 training organizers.

The main topics of the meeting were the exchange of experiences and improvement of market surveillance of benchmarks within the EU legislative framework (MID and NAWI).

The meeting provided a detailed understanding of the new guidelines for market surveillance, an insight into specific tools for risk assessment, involvement in international projects, a better understanding of problems in practice and preparation for the introduction of digital solutions (DPP).

It was concluded that it is necessary to further harmonize national practices, strengthen cooperation between countries, as well as introduce digital tools in supervision.
