Representative of the Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals at the meeting of the EURAMET Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology (EURAMET TC-IM)

The representative of the Directorate for Measures and Precious Metals, Jasmina Lazarević, metrologist for alternating electric voltage and current in the Section for electrical quantities, participated on April 23 and 24, 2026 in the work of the EURAMET Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology (EURAMET TC-IM), which this year was held hybridly.

The organizer of the meeting was the National Metrological Institute of France (LNE). The meeting was held in Paris with the participation of about 40 representatives of national metrology institutes (NMI).

Important topics presented at the meeting were about the development of calibration guides, news in EURAMET work, activities within EURAMET for capacity development, such as "CaBuCo" (Capacity Building Coordination) and activities within committees related to dynamic measurements, nuclear fusion and autonomous vehicles. An initiative was launched to organize a summer school for interdisciplinary metrology organized by EURAMET and BIPM with the support of "CaBuCo".

The meeting presented the development of important ongoing EURAMET projects, such as projects for the development of digital certificates, for metrology of sensor networks, for metrology related to climate change, training for beginners and bilateral comparisons. The activities of the working group for digital transformation in metrology (WGM4D) were presented, the continuation of activities related to the work of WGM4D was proposed, as well as the initiative to obtain independent status.

In the further work of the Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology, proposals and initiatives for new projects that will contribute to the further development of metrology are expected.
