Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals is the Recipient of International Award for Excellent Achievements in Legal Metrology

At the 49th meeting of the International Committee of Legal Metrology – CIML, held in Auckland (New Zealand) on November 4 to 6, 2014, was adopted Resolution no. 2014/19 on the basis of which the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals received the International Organization of Legal Metrology – OIML Award for Excellent Achievements in Legal Metrology in Developing Countries (https://www.oiml.org/en/structure/ciml/pdf/49-ciml-resolutions-english.pdf).

Award for excellent achievements in legal metrology in developing countries is a special award, given to countries that have excellent achievements in development of activities in the field of legal metrology. The winner gets a special OIML glass engraved trophy. Considering that this award is given to a few years ago, the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals is proud to be the bearer of this award.

International Organization of Legal Metrology – OIML was established by the signing of the International Convention on the International Conference in Paris, on October 12, 1955, among the founding countries – signatories was Yugoslavia.
International Organization of Legal Metrology – OIML http://www.oiml.org/en primarily aims to determine general principles of legal metrology, establish guidelines and instructions for drafting of laws and regulations governing the use of measuring instruments, define the requirements that measuring instruments in the field of legal metrology must meet in Member States.
