In period from November 18 to 20, 2014, was held 25th Meeting of the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) in Congress Palace of Versailles in Versailles.

In the work of the 25th General Conference on Weights and Measures participated delegations from 44 Member States and about 30 countries, or economies, Associates of the General Conference. Conference was also attended by representatives of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and others. Conference was chaired by President of the French Academy of Sciences (Académie française des sciences) Professor Philippe Taquet.

At the 25th General Conference on Weights and Measures, under the authority of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, participated Mrs. Vida Živković, M.Sc., Director of the Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals, as the representative of the Republic of Serbia.

At this General Conference were adopted five resolutions relating to scientific and institutional issues, in particular future redefinition of the International System of Units (SI).
