Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) Signatory to the Bilateral Agreement (BLA) of the European Co-operation for Accreditation (EA) on Recognition of Accreditation
At the meeting of Multilateral Agreement Council of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), held in Copenhagen on April 18 and 19, 2012, a decision was made to sign bilateral agreement (BLA) on recognition of accreditation between the ATS and EA on the basis of the report produced after the ATS had been peer evaluated in case of the following fields of accreditation: testing laboratories, medical laboratories, calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies operating certification of products.
This actually means that accreditation system established in the republic of Serbia is equivalent to those of other countries signatories to bilateral/multilateral (BLA/MLA) EA agreements on recognition of accreditation, and reports and certificates issued by Serbian accredited CABs are recognized in these countries.
On the occasion of this significant event, Dr. Dejan Krnjaić, ATS Director, gave an interview to the network EurActiv.
